It highlighted communication skills, creativity, teamwork, tech abilities, and project experience—qualities marketing employers value.
For the second prompt, I wrote for ChatGPT as, “do the same for healthcare”.
The language now highlights communication, patient support, responsibility, and teamwork—core traits valued in healthcare.
I learned that when tailoring content for different audiences, you need to tell the company things that they care about and expect the candidates to know. For example, from a marketing employer’s perspective, they will be looking for traits like creativity, communication, digital media, and collaboration. From a healthcare employer’s perspective, they will be looking for traits like responsibility, patience, empathy, and teamwork. My prompt engineering designed specific instructions for ChatGPT to modify my original resume for either marketing or healthcare industry. ChatGPT delivered modified versions specifically tailored to these two industries.
